Marriage can be beautiful

I thought I would share a few things about me and about marriage. I married and divorced twice(my husband has also) while following worldly ways. I met my third husband 12/05. I married my 3rd husband May 3, 2008.

This picture is when where we married in Gatlingburg, TN. The next week we flew to Cancun, Mexico and had another ceremony. We tried worldly ways for a couple of years then in July 2008, it was either follow Gods way and act right or divorce again. We started reading the bible and going to church. Our lives have changed alot over the past two years, some good some bad but now I turn to God instead of other worldly choices. I have learned you choose to love someone and care for others, it doesn't just happen naturally for most people. The picture below is where we married in Cancun, Mexico.
Just remember the next time you might get angry with a spouse or anyone. Jesus shows us love and we should show others eventhough sometimes it might be hard.
1 Corinthians 13:4-7 (New International Version)
4Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

  1. Kim,
A great post and I am so glad to see the pictures. You are right about the fact it is a choice we make. Most everything we do involves us making choices. May we all make good choices today.

  2. I love that you shared such a personal story about your life and how God worked in you.

    God bless.

  3. Beautiful! I love it when we get it figured out... what is important and what isn't! Have a blessed day with your handsome honey! HUGS!

  4. I Love Love Love a post about the beauty of finding God's Grace and learning how to live in His wisdom. TY so much for sharing, it so warmed my heart. You guys make such an awesome couple!

May your marriage always be blessed by HIM.

  5. I was married before also, now 28 years to my Sweetie all because of His grace. I am so happy you are being blessed.

  6. Oh wow, this is the most amazing story and pics--it is so touching I'm in tears!
In regard to etsy, hey girl, you're next!!! lol You may as well do it with Sherry and I so we can get excited on some days and on other days panic
    Love and hugs,

  7. Thank you for sharing your story. I'm very happy for you and your life now. God's grace is soooo good. We'd all be lost without it! Bless you! xo, Karen

  8. This is a beautiful post Kim... and I loved your pictures... what a handsome couple!

Love is a choice more than it is a feeling. This is what most people struggle with and why commitment is rare today, even in Christian circles. When it is a feeling, we serve ourselves. When it is a choice, we are serving others.

    Great post my darling!

  9. That's a really nice picture of you and your husband in Mexico! Thank you so much for sharing. I agree... Love is a choice. People will never treat us exactly how we want to be treated, so we have to learn to love each other regardless.

Have a great day, Kim! And thanks again for linking up! :)

  10. You couldn't have chosen a better description of love than 1 Corinthians 13. Marriage takes giving each other a lot of slack at times. I'm so happy for you that you and your dh have learned early in your marriage that following the Lord is the only way that makes sense.

  11. Enjoyed reading your personal story of error and triumph in marriage.

  12. Kim, You are so adorable!!! I'm so Happy you have found each other and our Lord. No doubt you with both walk hand in hand for many years together!

We celebrated our 30th this year and I couldn't imagine life without him.
    hugs Lynn

Thanks for taking time to leave a comment! I look forward to each and every one!
